Narrative practices in developing professional identities: Issues of objectivity and agency

This article presents an analytical model of binary dimensions narrative practice perceived as two continua between the oppositions subjectivity/objectivity and structure/agency. Such is considered a site for professional ‘identification’ self-knowing. The provided framework that was applied to series life history events follow-up discussions conducted with six early career teacher educators working across contrasting sites education. findings evidence participants’ reflections within relate descriptors each quadrant in this show it has utility describing understanding process identification takes place practice.
